Sustainability

Not too little, not too much, just right.

Sustainability is not just a hip word, that seems to be in every speech or mission statement nowadays. We stand for this concept for the simple reason that we believe in the value of timeless choices, quality over quantity, small luxuries over disposable pleasures. Better is way cooler than more, but when we still want more, we make sure to always get the best.

It’d be easier proclaiming ourselves as “green” or “eco”, yet we prefer to leave our mark on sustainability with some tangible, practical policies that, we believe, will leave a true impact on our customers, suppliers and the planet.

As a portuguese brand, we are fully committed to deliver products that are an intimate expression of our nature. That means our infusions supplier is just a small car trip away; that we are constantly in touch with our garments partner to assure maximum quality with a minimum impact; that local designers are behind the amazing patterns of Sohzen’s t-shirts and tote bags; that every jewel is assembled by hand.

We believe in the power of what’s nicely done. That applies to our GOTS certification but also to our certainty that, being so close to the whole cycle of production, we are actually guaranteeing less carbon emissions, less water usage, better wages and a true trace of authenticity in an increasingly globalized world.

We want you to be able to enjoy your Sohzen goodies for a long time, and talking about sustainability is also being able to provide our customers with what's built to last.

We are here to fulfil our motto: not too little, not too much, just right.

GOTS is the worldwide leading textile processing standard for organic fibres, including ecological and social criteria, backed up by independent certification of the entire textile supply chain. GOTS certified final products include fibre products, yarns, fabrics, clothes, home textiles, mattresses, personal hygiene products, among others.

Having one common standard means textile processors and manufacturers can export their fabrics and garments with one organic certification that is accepted in all major markets. This transparency also gives consumers the power to choose truly organic products sourced from green supply chains.

Organic agriculture Europe certification enables our organic products to be commercialised within the European Union.
